'The Journey towards Corporate Governance and Diversity in Oman'

On Thursday, the 19th of September Maimuna Al Sulaimani visited the Society to give her lecture, 'The Journey towards Corporate Governance and Diversity in Oman.' Maimuna is a lawyer, academic and media figure. She has been awarded the Al-Mar’a Excellence Award for Corporate Leadership 2014 and is listed as one of the Best 100 In House Legal Counsels in the Middle East by LEGAL500 in 2015. She is also a TV anchor for a legal weekly show called “#RightsReserved” and has a radio show in Arabic. She is the founder of the Law & Life Project which publishes a monthly legal magazine and a weekly page with the Observer. Her lecture gave us an insight into Omani law and decision-making in the private sector. Maimuna particularly focused on how we must change corporate governance culture and encourage the inclusion of women in the workplace. We thank Maimuna for visiting the Society to give her significant lecture on the importance of diversity in the private sector!
