Hussain Mohamed Ali began his career in the diplomatic service, rising to be Ambassador to the United Kingdom in 1989, at the age of 35. This is Oman’s most senior and prestigious foreign posting. Mr. Ali was also non-resident Ambassador to the Hague, Dublin & Luxembourg at this time. On returning to Oman, Mr. Ali remained as one of the senior advisers at the Diwan of the Royal Court until he resigned in 1996 to focus exclusively on his business interests. Mr. Ali’s business interests extend to two wholly owned companies and a number of partnerships and ownerships.
