Anglo Omani Society
Sir Terence Clark is a Vice-President of the British Omani Society and a former Ambassador to Iraq and Oman. During his time in the Middle East, he acquired his first Saluki and subsequently made a study of the extraordinary position it has occupied for millennia in the life of the region. His illustrated talk describes the emergence of this hunting hound in ancient Mesopotamia and its spread from Morocco to China, where it features in art, literature and sport until the present day.
