MENA & Oman Studies Taster Day

This event is aimed at students with an interest in studying the Middle East region and Oman, Arabic, International Relations/Politics, Diplomacy and History at university. It is open to students in Sixth Form, on a Gap Year or otherwise applying to university.

About the event:

This is the second year BOS have run this event, which proved extremely popular with our previous attendees.

Participants gain a good introductory understanding of careers that might follow their University studies, approaches to diplomacy in the Middle East region, what Arabic language learning entails and what some of their chosen University course content may cover. You will also get an introduction to some of the funded student schemes BOS runs in Oman. They will leave the course with a ‘certificate of completion’ from the Society which may be used as evidence of attendance as part of a University application.

"Insightful and inspiring across all activities...a fantastic introduction."

"Extremely helpful, great insight into Oman and Arabic, and possible career paths."
