We were delighted and proud to host HE Mohsin bin Khamis Al Balushi, Commissioner General of the Sultanate of Oman at the Expo Milano 2015 and World Expo 2020 in Dubai. HE Mohsin Al Balushi is an Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Oman International Exhibition Centre.
He is also a director and board member of the Public Authority for Craft Industries, the Public Authority for Social Security, and Oman Air. Previous posts include Under Secretary of Tourism – Ministry of Tourism, Oman.
With tourism being of crucial and ever-increasing importance in the Sultanate as part of the Government’s efforts to diversify its economy away from hydrocarbons, this talk entitled ‘The Sultanate of Oman in the World Expo’ explored the importance of such an event in showcasing Oman’s natural beauty, opportunities and main attractions, covering points including: Eras of World Expos, Types of Expos, The Most Prominent Remnants and Landmarks of World Exos, Oman in the World Expo, Objectives of Sultanate of Oman being in the World Expo, What has been achieved?
