As part of the series of lectures hosted by the NGG, Omani PhD candidate, Hadil Al Moosa delivered a lecture on ‘Women Entrepreneurship in Oman’ on 1st November 2017.
The lecture explored the topic through a cultural lens and focused on how national culture shapes individual career choices and preference. The lecture was highly specialised and very informative. Based largely on Hadil’s PhD research, it presented the theoretical background for her research, detailed her research approach and discussed some of her main findings.
The event attracted a large number of attendees, including the Omani Cultural Attaché, NGG members, some PhD students and others who are interested in topics related to women, entrepreneurship or Oman. Such a wide range of audiences with various interests generated an interesting discussion at the end of the lecture.
