We were delighted to host Omani sailor Mohsin Al Busaidi, the first Arab to sail non-stop around the world at our next NGG event with David Graham CEO of Oman Sail, in London on 3rd Feb 2016.
Up until 20 years ago, no one had ever completed a non-stop round the world journey onboard a racing multihull and still today it remains one of the hardest challenges a sailor can ever dream of tackling. On 8th January 2009, a former member of Oman’s Royal Navy Mohsin Al Busaidi, embarked on a 76-day, 24,000 nautical miles’ sail (44, 979 km), becoming Oman’s new hero.
Prior to his journey, Mohsin underwent summer training in the UKSA centre in Cowes before doing the delivery sail on Musandam from the UK to Oman. We are thrilled that he joined David Graham, CEO of Oman Sail, for our NGG event in London on Wednesday 3rd Feb 2016.
